ELIM MISSIONARIES: Elim Bible Institute/Elim Fellowship is located in Lima, NY near Rochester.  Elim trains people of all ages for foreign or home missions. If an individual is designated in this report as an “Elim Missionary”, donations from Joy Community Church are sent to Elim indicating which missionary the contribution is for & Elim then sends the funds directly to the missionary.

BRICK CLIFF: As Elim missionaries, Brick & his family travel around the world creating teaching & training DVD’s (through International School of Ministry).  These training tools help to prepare Pastors & lay people for ministry all over the world.  They are continuing to raise funds to purchase High Definition equipment in order to produce requested HD versions of the programs.  Please continue to pray for more staff & volunteers, health, safety & finances.

TIM & SARA OUTLAW: The daughter of Brick & Beth Cliff, Sara is ministering full-time in China.  We look forward to her next update.  Pray for her safety, health, & favor.

MATT & ANGELA CATINELLA (Living Water Ministries): Matt & Angela bring the message of Purity in Christ to youth in Uganda.  At a recent Youth Conference, Matt was invited to speak to over 120 students.  He reports that There was singing, break-dancing and lots of fun!  I enjoyed sharing with them about the story of Joseph and motivating them to persevere in hard times.  At the end of the message, I asked those who are going through a hard time and need prayer to come forward.  Needless to say, the altar quickly filled with young people, wanting a touch from the Lord. It was great to stir them up and give them a spiritual boost as they start a new school year.” Please pray for continued health, safety & open doors for their ministry.

DR. PAUL & JUANITA TUCKER (Spirit Power Ministries): Dr. Tucker travels regularly around the world to encourage the people of God everywhere to stay strong & uncompromising in the Lord.  This month he traveled to Iquitos, Peru for special ministry with the Mortimer families.  Please pray for safety, direction, finances & for health for their entire ministering family.

"Walking with God", 2/27/11, Pastor Dan

“Walking with God”

We have been dealing with the subject of Covenant of late and have found it to be a term that carries value and weight with God.

The word Covenant means a very strong bond.  It means being in agreement with.  It means being in a relationship.

The Bible says, in 2 Chronicles 16:9 -   For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.  What does this mean?  It means God is looking for people who are willing to walk with Him so He can bless them and He can be glorified in their lives!

Abraham was in covenant with God.  Abraham had no axes to grind.  He did not accuse God or blame God for Sarah’s barrenness.  Abraham was God’s friend and vice versa.  Being in covenant with God means being a friend of God.  A friend is one you can share things with.  You do not judge them.  You accept them as they are.  They are confident around you and can open up about your feelings.  That is the kind of relationship we are to have with God.  It is awesome!

Yes, God is Awesome!  Can we consider God “lucky” to have us as His friends?  NO!  On the contrary, we are the fortunate and blessed ones to be able to say, Through Jesus Christ God’s Son, I have peace with God.  I have a relationship with Him.  It is a relationship of love and respect.  We respect and fear our loving Heavenly Father.  Yes, fear!  Reverential trust!  It is humbling to know we can walk with God, the Creator of our universe.  He is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory.  (Eph. 1.17)

It is truly amazing that we can live our earthly lives being connected to the Most High God and know He loves us and will direct our paths.

Proverbs 3:5 – In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.  The key is to walk in humility with the Lord our God, checking in with Him (praying) in all we do.  May the Lord be glorified in your life as you walk in covenant agreement with Him.
